Delivery charges may apply depending on your location and choice of delivery method. The rate applicable for the delivery charge will be calculated at the date you place your order. For more information on delivery arrangements see delivery information.
In the case of goods that are made to order (known as ‘bespoke’) your acceptance of the order takes place at the point at which we confirm our acceptance, please note that different cancellation rights apply to ‘bespoke’ products. Once these products have been delivered they cannot be returned unless they are damaged or deemed as faulty, this does not affect your statutory rights.
The description of the Goods will be as specified within the Order.
You should be aware that all sizes given are approximate and the stated bed and mattress sizes refer to the sleeping surface only. Mattress sizes may vary slightly from their stated dimensions due to manufacturing tolerances
Tension grading is for guidance only. The grading is based on manufacturer recommendations however this cannot accommodate personal preference which can be determined by factors such as weight, and physical differences.
When placing a mattress on a bedframe please note that there may be a gap around the edges; this is to allow for bedding to fit and also to enable the user to rotate the mattress.
All mattresses are factory sealed immediately after production in protective packaging and should be aired in a well ventilated room upon opening. It is quite normal for there to be an initial 'new' smell from the treatments used on them before packing. This is not harmful and no cause for concern. We recommend pulling back sheets daily and leaving windows open to help dissipate any residual odours. This may take a few days or several weeks.
Laminate Flooring sliding - Beds placed on laminate flooring may slide depending on the surface and the bed type. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the bed is secure and stable once assembled. If the bed has central support bars these, along with the main bed feet must be secured so as not to slide (use a rug or foam pads under the pressure points). If the bed frame collapses due to the central support failure then the manufacturers guarantee is invalid.
All products are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of delivery and that guarantee states:
-
That the goods will be of satisfactory quality
-
Fit for the purpose they were supplied
-
They will be free from material defects
-
Comply with all applicable and regulatory requirements for selling of Goods in the United Kingdom
The guarantee covers normal domestic home use and does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence, commercial use or failure to follow the care guidelines or any alteration or repair carried out without our permission.
We strongly recommend the use of mattress protectors on all mattresses as your guarantee will be invalid if the mattress is stained / soiled.
If you inform us that the goods have breached the Guarantee, we will ask for photographic evidence and may arrange an inspection to verify this. Following the inspection if no fault is found you may be responsible for the inspection, fee this will be discussed individually.
If no fault is found you will be informed, and no further action will be taken. In the event of a fault being found the Goods will be repaired or replaced free of charge, we may (if we choose) provide a refund. We will require the damaged parts to be returned to us, we will try and arrange the collection and delivery of the replacement for the same day but it cannot be guaranteed.
Some manufacturers offer extended guarantee/warranties which are subject to their own terms and conditions, stated on their guarantee paperwork.
Any photographs, illustrations, sizes and/or product description we use are produced solely to provide you with an approximate idea of the Goods. All Goods are manufactured within the standard industry measurement tolerances.
All Goods are purchased and supplied, on the understanding that there may be slight colour or shade variations, particularly with natural products such as wood and leather. Colours may also change with age and exposure to sun and other climatic conditions.
The illustrations and colours are representative only.
All items are subject to availability.
All details, specifications and prices are accurate at time of publication, but may subsequently change. While we make every effort to ensure that the items shown are as close as possible to the actual specification and size, there may be slight variations due to the nature of the product.
It is your responsibility for checking the dimensions of your bed or mattress, we cannot be held responsible for customers ordering the wrong size.
Delivery will be made to the delivery address specified on the Order and any changes to a delivery address must be supported by documentary evidence. You must notify us at least 72 hours prior to delivery of any delivery amendments. Any amendment however small may lead to an increase in lead-time or change of delivery date. A final delivery charge will be confirmed before your order is placed.
All items purchased online are eligible for free delivery within mainland UK. Some post codes may be subject to a delivery charge, we will notify you if this is the case. We may be unable to deliver to some locations please contact us for more information
It is your responsibility to ensure there is adequate space at the delivery address for the delivery to take place, please check the measurements of the goods you are buying. If we cannot make delivery as the space is too restricted or it is impossible due to health and safety requirements then we will consider this to be a failed delivery. You will agree to pay our additional fees for rearranging delivery on your behalf and also for the storage of goods until this arrangement can be made. You will at this point have the choice of re-arranging the delivery of your goods including the additional costs of re-delivery and storage. If as a result you decide to cancel your order we will refund the cost of your goods less the delivery fee. In the case of made to order (’bespoke’) beds and mattresses these cannot be cancelled and an arrangement for re-delivery including any extra costs we incur on your behalf will be confirmed with yourself.
Smaller items will be delivered by a 1-man to the door service, if you require an upgraded service to room of choice this is possible subject to a £25 upgrade fee and can be arranged upon request.
Standard delivery is a 1-man delivery to your door only. If you live in a flat or apartment delivery shall be made to the lobby of that block. Once delivery has been made the ownership of title passes to you and we will not be held responsible for loss or damage to the goods from that point.
Larger items will be delivered by a 2-man service, who where practicable will deliver to the room of choice. The delivery company will text a 3-hour time slot after 6pm on the day before intended delivery.
Where delivery is being made by our 2-man room of choice service, reasonable attempts to deliver goods to your room of choice within the delivery address will be made, this is providing that it is safe and practical to do so, if the delivery team reasonably consider that delivery to the room of your choice is likely to cause damage to the goods or to your property, they will inform you and record this concern on the delivery document. Once you are aware of these factors you may still decide to go ahead with your delivery, we will not be liable for any damage caused to the goods or your property as a result of an attempted delivery on your instructions.
Delivery will be made to the address specified when you complete the order and a final delivery charge will be confirmed before your order is processed.
If an item is temporarily unavailable or has a longer lead-time, then you will be contacted with the choice of an alternative or a revised delivery date.
Your delivery can be made by different carriers depending on your location, the brand chosen, the size of the item you order and the speed with which you wish to receive it. For further information on delivery arrangements and prices see delivery information or contact our customer services on 01924 210664.
Whilst we make every effort to deliver most items within 30 days of the date of your order, we shall not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control. We cannot be liable for any loss of wages or any costs either directly or indirectly which result in a delay in delivery. We will contact you to let you know if we are having any problems getting an item to you. We cannot offer any financial compensation when deliveries are delayed.
A signature is required at delivery. By placing an order, you are authorising us to accept a signature from another person on your behalf, if you are not present at the time of delivery. Ownership of an item will not pass to you until we have delivered the item to you. When an item is delivered, risk of damage to or loss of the item passes to you.
We reserve the right to charge a re-delivery fee to cover delivery costs if there is no one present on the agreed delivery date.
We have no facility for the collection and disposal of your old bed or mattress if you are outside of our local catchment area. If delivery is within a 40 mile radius of our stores in the Doncaster or Wakefield we may be able to take away your old bed & mattress for a fee of £25.00
In exceptional circumstances, a product may arrive suffering minor wear and tear from the shipping process, or even a minor defect that occurred at the factory. It is important that you report any damage immediately upon delivery by noting it on the delivery paperwork and emailing us on info@fabbeds.co.uk or calling our customer services department on 01924 210664
Where you have ordered multiple items from us, we may need to make more than one delivery to you. This is particularly the case where Goods are delivered directly from the supplier. Where this is necessary we will not charge you extra delivery costs for this.
We advise you to only dispose of your old goods following the acceptance of delivery of your new goods.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations of 2014, you are entitled to cancel your contract, but only if you exercise this right no longer than 14 days after the day on which goods are received. This is the statutory cooling off period. After this period has expired there is no right to cancel.
Under UK law, the statutory cooling off period has certain exclusions:
-
Bespoke or made to order items. These are goods that have been ordered to your unique and exact specifications for example an extra-long mattress. If you have selected a colour from a range and the product is hand-made this does not make your product bespoke.
-
Self-assembly items that have been partially assembled. The following items are excluded due to hygiene reasons:
-
Pillows, duvets or mattress protectors that been taken out of their sealed packaging.
-
Mattresses or divans that have been removed from the original packaging or slept on
The above clauses do not apply if the items in question are found to be faulty.

If the product does not appear to be damaged on arrival and upon unwrapping you discover any faults you must contact us within 14 days. This will enable the returns process to be more swift and efficient.
If the goods we have delivered are incorrect or faulty, we will organise collection and we will replace the item free of charge as soon as possible.
We reserve the right to withhold all or part of your refund if items are returned damaged.
Mattresses can only be returned if they are unopened. Mattresses which have been slept on cannot be returned. If you wish to test a mattress please keep it wrapped until you are sure you want to keep it.
